Sweet potato
You will need 5 sweet potatoes, already peeled and cut into wedges.
Sugar
Brown sugar is important to give the hue and flavor we are looking for when making our sweet potato casserole recipe. If you prefer a milder flavor, use the light sugar, otherwise use the darker one.
Margarine
Try to use a margarine with the lowest fat content or substitute it with regular butter if you have it in your house.
Orange juice
You will need approximately 3 tablespoons of orange juice which will serve to give it a light shine.
Cinnamon
A pinch of cinnamon will help enhance the flavor.
Marshmallows
You will need a bag of small marshmallows, they will give your recipe the golden touch.

Cook and mash the sweet potatoes well
Cook the potatoes preferably over medium heat so that they can be very soft and cooked evenly.
Mix and cover the casserole
If you have one, use a mixer to mix the already cooled mashed sweet potatoes with the brown sugar, margarine, cinnamon and the spoonfuls of orange juice. Soon after, pour the mixture into a roast and cover with the marshmallows.
