Ingredients
- 3 units of eggs
- 1 tbsp of baking powder
- 3 cups of milk
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 50 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cups (tea) of sugar
- 3 tbsp of wheat flour
- 1 cup (tea) cornmeal
Instructions
Preparing the creamy cornmeal cake
- First, in a blender (or bowl), place the eggs, butter, milk, sugar, cornmeal, wheat flour and Parmesan cheese.
- Soon after, beat all the ingredients until they are very homogeneous, add the baking powder and mix with a spoon.
- Once that's done, take a shape, grease it with butter and sprinkle cornmeal on its surface. After that, pour the entire mixture into it.
- Finally, bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180º for approximately 50 minutes until golden and ready.
Note: You can use a sheet of parchment paper so the dough doesn’t stick too much to the board.
As this cake is a creamy cake, it is not possible to do the toothpick test, so you need to keep an eye on it to see when the surface is golden and the sides are coming off.
