Ingredients
- 1 unit olive oil (to taste)
- 2 boxes of sour cream
- 1 kg of chicken breast
- 1 unit chopped medium onion
- 1 unit oregano (optional)
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 3 tbsp of ketchup
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1 pinch of sweet paprika
- 1 little salt and pepper
- 1 unit chopped tomato
Instructions
Preparing Chicken Stroganoff
- First, cut the chicken breast into small cubes (the size you want, but the smaller the better for cooking).
- Soon after, add a drizzle of olive oil in a pan and then add the chopped onion and then the garlic to brown.
- Once this is done, add the chicken and add the seasonings (salt, black pepper, oregano and a pinch of sweet paprika). Now, stir the chicken well, cover the pan and wait for the chicken to cook until the water dries up.
- Soon after, add the chopped tomato and let it sauté with the chicken. When the tomato is well melted, add the ketchup, mustard and stir well.
- Finally, turn off the heat, add the cream, stir well and it's ready!
Notes
As stroganoff is a very practical recipe, you can make it in several ways. For example, if you don’t have mustard paprika or oregano, you can leave it alone or replace it with other ingredients from your kitchen. However, in the case of ketchup, you can also use tomato sauce instead, it’s delicious too.
