- 220 ml oil or melted margarine (approximately 1 cup)
- 1 tbsp of baking powder for cake
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 units chopped ripe bananas (optional)
For cake cover:
- 1 cup of water
- 2 cups of sugar
- 5 units of ripe bananas
Instructions
Preparing the cake cover:
- First, put the sugar in a pan and put it on the fire so that the sugar starts to melt.
- As soon as the sugar starts to melt, do not stir until it has completely melted and then lower the heat.
- Then add the water and wait with the fire on until the syrup is at the point you want.
- Finally, place the syrup at the bottom of the tray you will use, cut the bananas into elongated slices or slices and place them on top and set aside.
Preparing the dough:
- First, in a bowl place the whole eggs and then add the oil and sugar.
- After that, beat until the mixture looks very whitish. You can hit the mixer, blender or by hand.
- Now, add the flour and milk to the mixture and beat again.
- Place the well-chopped bananas in the dough (this part is optional) and then add the yeast.
- Pour the dough over the form with the bananas and syrup, put a cinnamon powder on top, if you wish.
- Finally, take the form to the preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes at 220ºC. However, do the fork test to see if the dough is good and it's ready.
Tip: If you want to unmold the banana cake, do so when it is still hot, as the syrup will stick to the tray after it has cooled down.
